Joseph F. Chambers, MD
Born and raised in Syracuse, New York, Joseph F. Chambers, MD, attended the University of Notre Dame where he earned a Bachelor of Art in anthropology. He went on to complete medical school at SUNY-Syracuse and then a family practice residency at St. Joseph's Hospital in Syracuse, New York. Dr. Chambers has been seeing patients at Novant Health Bull Run Family Medicine since 2003.
Married with two daughters, Dr. Chambers enjoys traveling and camping with his family. He also likes sharing his love of literature, Native American art and traditional Irish music.
Gary DeRosa, MD
Gary DeRosa, MD, spent his childhood in New York and remained in his home state to attend college at LeMoyne College in Syracuse where he earned a Bachelor of Science in biology. He moved to Washington, D.C., where he completed medical school at Georgetown University. An internship and residency at St. Joseph's Hospital in Syracuse, New York, followed. Dr. DeRosa spent time in the U.S. Public Health Service before moving to Manassas and opening a practice with Spencer G. Feldmann, MD.
Dr. DeRosa is designated by the Federal Aviation Administration as a Senior Aviation Medical Examiner; he can complete First-, Second- and Third-Class Pilot Medical Exams. He also acts as a HIMS program Independent Medical Sponsor. Dr. DeRosa is a commercial pilot and flight instructor.
Dr. DeRosa is a past president of the Prince William Medical Center staff. Married and a father to three children, he enjoys working on computers and skiing.
Robert Latimer, Jr., MD
A native of Manassas, Virginia, Robert Latimer, Jr., MD, is the son of Dr. Robert Latimer, Sr., one of the original physicians of the Manassas Medical Center. Dr. Robert Latimer, Jr., attended undergraduate school at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, and went on to medical school at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. Dr. Latimer, Jr., completed his family practice residency at David Grant Hospital/Travis Air Force Base in Fairfield, California.
Dr. Latimer is married and has three children. He enjoys time with his family, sailing, woodworking, SCUBA diving and skiing.
Frederick W. Parker, III, MD, M.Ed.
Frederick W. Parker, III, MD, spent his childhood in Scranton, Pennsylvania, and stayed close to home to attend the University of Scranton. He moved to Washington, D.C., to go to the George Washington University School of Medicine and remained in the nation's capital to complete a residency at the George Washington University Medical Center. After a second residency at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio. Dr. Parker also earned a master's degree in education from Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Virginia.
Dr. Parker has served as chairman of the Education Committee for the Medical Society of Virginia and is the medical director of Continuing Medical Education at Novant Health UVA Health System Prince William Medical Center. Dr. Parker merged his practice with Novant Health Bull Run Family Medicine in August 1998. He serves as one of the team physicians for George Washington University. He is married with two children and enjoys golfing, running, Civil War history and sports medicine.
Michael Perez, MD, M.M.M.
Originally from Richmond, Virginia, and raised in Columbus, Ohio, Michael Perez, MD, graduated from the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana, with a degree in biology. After completing the Medical College of Ohio in Toledo, Dr. Perez completed a residency at Fairfax Family Practice. He went on to receive a Master's in Medical Management from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Dr. Perez's father-in-law is the late John Ringler, MD, one of the original founders of the Manassas Medical Center.
Dr. Perez is now providing pulsed light therapy for the treatment of age spots and other skin pigmentation concerns, vascular lesions, rosacea, permanent hair reduction and acne.
Married with four children, Dr. Perez enjoys yoga, tennis, golf, music and coaching soccer.
Frank Ratchford, MD
Born in Scranton, Pennsylvania and raised in upstate New York, Frank Ratchford, MD, attended the University of Scranton and received a degree in biology. After earning a medical degree at SUNY-Syracuse, Dr. Ratchford completed a residency at St. Joseph's Hospital in Syracuse, New York. Dr. Ratchford joined Novant Health Bull Run Family Medicine in 1996.
Dr. Ratchford is married with two children. He enjoys golfing, jogging, biking and spending time with his family.
Scott Ross, MD
Born and raised in Pennsylvania, Scott Ross, MD, received a Bachelor of Science in biology at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C.. He remained at Georgetown University to complete his medical degree and went on to complete a family practice residency at Fairfax Family Practice. Dr. Ross joined Novant Health Bull Run Family Medicine in 1998.
Dr. Ross is the team physician for Osborne Park High School, and has a special fondness in his own life for sports. Dr. Ross is married with two children.
Janet Breslin, MSN, FNP-C
Born in Washington, D.C., and raised in northern Virginia, Janet Breslin, FNP-C, received her nursing degree at the Alexandria Hospital School of Nursing in Alexandria, Virginia. She earned both a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Master of Science in Nursing from Marymount University in Arlington, Virginia. She completed Post-Master's Certificate as a family nurse practitioner just before joining Novant Health Bull Run Family Medicine in 1995, and has worked as adjunct faculty in Marymount University's nurse practitioner program.
Janet is married with three children and enjoys spending time with family, reading, and gardening. She is a part of the health/wellness group at her church.
Susan Campbell, NP
Susan Campbell, NP, grew up in Manassas and received a nursing degree from Northern Virginia Community College in Springfield, Virginia. She worked as a registered nurse in intensive care and interventional radiology before joining Novant Health Bull Run Family Medicine. Susan went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia, and then a Master of Science in Nursing from George Washington University. She has completed clinical internships in internal medicine, hospitalist medicine and geriatrics.
Susan is married and has eight children. She enjoys watching her children participate in sports, reading, watching football and cooking.
Nanette Schell, NP
Nanette Schell, NP, grew up in Fairfax and received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia. She worked as a registered nurse at National Institutes of Health where she had the opportunity to work with a wide variety of patient populations. She received her Master of Science in Nursing from Marymount University in Arlington, Virginia. She has worked in the medical field for more than two decades.
Nanette greatly enjoys working at Novant Health Bull Run Family Medicine and working with families and multiple generations. She is thrilled to be working with the wonderful staff and the renowned team of physicians at Novant Health Bull Run Family Medicine.
Nanette is married and has 2 children. She enjoys outdoor activities, road trips, and spending time with family.
